IRIS (Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology) is a university research consortium dedicated to exploring the Earth's interior through the collection and distribution of seismographic data. IRIS programs contribute to scholarly research, education, earthquake hazard mitigation, and the verification of a Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. Support for IRIS comes from the National Science Foundation, other federal agencies, universities, and private foundations. IRIS supports four major components, the Data Management System, the Program for Array Seismic Studies of the Continental Lithosphere (PASSCAL), the Global Seismographic Network, and the Education and Outreach Program. IRIS maintains a Corporate Office in Washington, DC. IRIS is listed in the Registry of Research Data Repositories re3data.org.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://service.re3data.org/repository/r3d100010268 )〕 ==See also== *Earthquake *Earthscope *Geophysics *Plate tectonics *POLARIS *Reflection seismology *Seismology *Seismometer *Volcanology 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「IRIS Consortium」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
